Hand carved from sustainable mango wood, made by a Fair Trade organisation in India called TARA. TARA projects work with marginalised artisans to help them earn a dignified income. Artisans associated with TARA receive a fair price & community development support. TARA also supports several informal learning centres for children, vocational training centres for young women, & literacy programmes. TARA is a great advocate against all kinds of exploitation & child labour.
